After graduating with her Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the USA, Miss Faria Riaz has been working with NBRCI as an Exercise/Sports Scientist and a Performance Enhancement Specialist. With a plethora of skills in the areas of performance enhancement of athletes, she employs scientifically proven methods and sports-specific skills training to design advanced-level programs significant for an athlete’s optimal level of athletic ability. The aptitude that she uses for devising strategies involved with injury prevention and rehabilitation for all clients through corrective exercise programs has demonstrated progress in the rehabilitation process of our clients.
Her specialty focuses on achieving optimal performance levels for athletes, along with providing foundational education to athletes regarding performance nutrition.
Not only are her methods focused entirely on designing advanced-level programs focusing on the physical aspects of training for athletes, but her approach to boosting the mental performance of athletes is backed by her academic experience in Sports Psychology.
In terms of her relevant work experience, she has worked with us as a Strength and Conditioning coach in 2022, where her primary focus was to supervise exercise sessions to analyze proper movement/biomechanics synonymous to achieving the goals of conditioning programs for either hypertrophy or injury recovery. Her previous work experience as an intern in the cardiac rehab department of the SSM Health has proved fruitful for her to further delve into problem-solving skills necessary for improving a client’s overall wellness, where she reviews medical history to ensure that all protocols are considered for the client’s safety when being prescribed an exercise.
Another aspect of her expertise is helping clients improve their body composition levels through the analysis of biometrics data, through which strategies are developed to support ideal lifestyle choices imperative to improve either performance levels of athletes or speed up rehabilitation of clients wanting improved mobility, flexibility, and relief from joint pain caused by being overweight.
In a nutshell, whether it is to refer to scientifically proven methods to enhance performance levels of athletes, or whether it is to prescribe exercises imperative for rehabilitation or whether it is to educate the clients regarding nutritional guidelines, her goal is to ensure that every client achieves their best level of wellness.
